Refund policy

Church of Art does not issue refunds. We do, however, issue studio credit as  detailed on this page.

To cancel your booking:

Timelines below are based on Church of Art’s receipt of your cancellation notice.

Church of Art is a small local business run by one individual (hi, it’s me!) and even with a waitlist, filling an open spot within a few days of the event is not always possible and requires a re-direction of my time and effort.

Your booking is transferrable so you may wish to gift (or sell) your seat to another person. 

If your booking is transferred to someone else, please email the studio with that person’s name, email address, and telephone number.

–21 days OR MORE BEFORE AN EVENT STARTS:

If you cancel 21 days (3 weeks) or more before a single-occurrence* event starts, you will receive a credit for 100% of the amount you paid good for 14 days that can be applied once toward another Church of Art booking of any type. (You don’t have to attend another event within 14 days, you just need to re-book).

*For events that are sold as a series of two or more, if the series has not yet started, you will receive a credit for 100% of the amount you paid good for 30 days that can be applied toward one or more Church of Art bookings of any type. (You don’t have to attend another event within 30 days, you just need to re-book). For multi-part series, there are no credits for cancellations after the first event in the series.

–BETWEEN 3 days AND  20 days before AN EVENT STARTS:

If you cancel between 3 days and 20 days before a single-occurrence* event starts, you will receive a credit for 50% of the amount you paid good for 10 days that can be applied once toward another Church of Art booking of any type. (You don’t have to attend another event within 10 days, you just need to re-book).

*For events that are sold as a series of two or more, if the series has not yet started, you will receive a credit for 50% of the amount you paid good for 30 days that can be applied toward one or more Church of Art bookings of any type. (You don’t have to attend another event within 30 days, you just need to re-book). For multi-part series, there are no refunds or credits for cancellations after the first event in the series.

–UP to 3 days before the event startS:

No credits will be given for cancellations within 3 days (72 hours) of the event’s start time.

STUDIO CANCELLATIONS:

If Church of Art cancels an event, the event will be rescheduled for a later date. If an attendee cannot attend the rescheduled event, a credit will be issued and must be redeemed within 30 days from the date of cancellation. (Event does not have to occur within the 30 days, just the booking of the event).

If the event is part of a series, and an attendee cannot attend the rescheduled event, the attendee will receive a gift code that can be redeemed for a single “Art Fellowship Hours” session. This gift code must be redeemed within 30 days from the date of cancellation. (Attendance does not have to occur within the 30 days, just the booking of the Art Fellowship Hours session).

In the unlikely event that Church of Art must cancel an event due to an event considered force majeure (including but not limited to: extreme heat; fire; flood; explosion; extraordinary and destructive weather conditions; acts, laws, orders or restraint of government; pandemic or outbreaks of sickness or disease; terrorism, war, sabotage or vandalism; accident, civil disorder or riots within Church of Art’s operating areas or directly affecting Church of Art’s performance; or any other circumstances beyond Church of Art’s control), no credits will be issued.

This policy is in effect as of 7/7/26
