Collaborative art-making is all about letting go of perfection, control, and expectation through group creative exploration. In this workshop, artist Erika Halperin will guide participants through the collaborative creation of a giant collage. This large collage will then be cut into smaller pieces and individuals will continue adding collage elements and marks until we reach batches of Artist Trading Cards (2.5″ x 3.5″)!  For the latter part of the workshop, participants will exchange some of their Artist Trading Cards with others in the class.

The results of these collaboratively-made art-pieces are always surprising and delightful. Artist Trading Cards can be exchanged with other artists outside the workshop, framed as individual or clustered art pieces, gifted, pasted into personal sketchbooks, or used as notecards or gift tags. Write a poem or message on the back and leave it in a neighborhood Little Library for someone to find and enjoy!

What We’ll Use:
Paper of all kinds, glue sticks, string, acrylic mediums, acrylic markers, Woodies, paste, scissors, acrylic pens, exacto knives and scissors. All materials and supplies are provided by the studio.
